Back to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Courses

Offered:
Every spring.

Emphasis will be on the functional connections between nucleic acids and proteins, and the special role that DNA plays in both heritability and in regulating cellular processes. Molecular methodologies like gene cloning, genomics, and bioinformatics will be highlighted. Laboratory exercises include experiments designed to illustrate concepts central to cell and molecular biology and to familiarize students with basic skills required at the laboratory bench.
