Requirements for a Major in Finance

Required Core Courses: ACCT 211, 212, 313, ECON 308, 351, FINA 315, 418427.
Required Business Core Courses: B.A. 103, 203, 301, 305345, 499.
Required Related Courses: ACCT 101,102; ECON 110, 111314; ECON 410 or B.A. 346; MATH 125 or 117, MATH 205 or 315; COMM 103 or 205, and PSYC 103. 
Major GPA requirement: Students must achieve a minimum 2.00 GPA for all Rubel School courses (accounting, business, economics, and finance) taken in the Rubel School (not counting transfer courses) to graduate with a Finance major.
 
Note for Rubel School Double Majors
Students may not earn a double major in Finance/Business Administration. Students with a double major in Finance/Accounting may take no more than 50% of their total credit hours in accounting or business administration courses. Students with a double major in Finance/Economics take ECON 308 and ECON 351 which count for both majors, and must complete an additional 300 or 400-level ECON elective to earn the Economics major.
