Requirements for a Major in Nursing: BSN RN Track

Lower-Level General Education Requirements:

3 hrs, English Composition
15 hrs, Natural Sciences and/or Math*
6 hrs, Social Sciences**
28 hrs, Lower-Level Nursing Courses (ASN or ADN)***

* May include Math, Chemistry, General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, or Nutrition.
** May include: Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Life-Span Development, or other
social science courses.
***Graduates from non-regionally accredited diploma or associate degree programs who meet the RN to BSN admission criteria will be awarded 28 hours of lower level nursing credit at the time of application for graduation from the RN to BSN degree program, approximately one year prior to degree completion.
