Foundations of Nursing Concepts
Course Description
This course introduces foundational nursing knowledge across the lifespan. The clinical judgement model, and concepts of communication & compassionate care are used for development of nursing skills, safety, infection control, oxygenation, nutrition, skin integrity, mobility, elimination, hygiene, and perioperative care. Spheres of care include Disease Prevention/Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Care, Hospice/Palliative/Supportive Care. (3 hrs. class per week, 67.5 hrs. clinical per session)
