ENGL-320

This course will assist students in understanding the elements of writing a play. Through readings and working with elements of playwriting, students will gain experience in writing monologues, dialogues, scenes, and short plays. Students will develop an understanding of dramaturgical concepts such as plot, character (emotion, needs, conflict, motivation, character development), structure, theme, and dialogue. Students will also read and discuss each other's work.
