Applied Pharmacology

Course Description

This course focuses on nursing clinical judgement and pharmacology. Students examine pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, and the therapeutic use of medications. Clinical assessment and judgement regarding mechanism of action, evaluation of therapeutic effect, and side effects/adverse reactions. In addition, medication calculations and safety of medication administration will be covered. (3 hrs. class per week)
