NURS-401

The focus of this course is on the theory and practice of psychiatric mental health nursing in the hospital and community. Emphasis is on the development of therapeutic relationships with individuals using the nursing process. Course content includes nursing care provided to people with major psychiatric disorders as well as to people who are victims of violence. (3 hours class per week; 67.5 hours clinical per semester.)
