Fundamentals of Bioethics
Course Description
This course investigates the ethical and social dimensions of the practice of medicine, healthcare delivery, and health technologies. Students will become proficient in understanding and applying ethical theories to practice and learning core principles essential to ethical decision making in medicine and healthcare. The course is designed both for students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and for students interested in ethical questions concerning health and healthcare. This course is presented in a hybrid format. Students will work on the readings, lectures, and projects independently, and we will meet in-person once a week for 1 hour 15 minutes for discussion, questions, and delving deeper into the issues.
