Course Description

Lecture and laboratory. This course is an introduction to the basic principles of design, conduct, and analysis of behavioral research. Students in small groups carry out a research project from start to finish which includes topic selection, design, hypothesis formulation, data collection, analysis, and formal write-up and presentation of the work. This course has been pre-approved by the Association for Child Life Professionals (ACLP) to partially fulfill the academic eligibility requirements needed to sit for the Child Life Specialist Certification exam.
