Memory and Cognition

Course Description

A comprehensive study of contemporary theories and research on human memory and cognition, including contributions from cognitive neuroscience. Topics range from attention, pattern recognition, models of memory, and memory failure, to mental representation, language, and decision making. The course also addresses cognitive capacities and limitations and includes strategies for improving memory, solving problems, and avoiding bias.
