Program Description

The Digital Media minor is housed in the undergraduate Communication Department.

The Minor in Digital Media teaches the tools and theory of the complex and ever-changing world of digital communication. This program requires students to create, evaluate and utilize contemporary modes of workplace communication such as social media, graphic design, video production and radio broadcasts. Students in the Digital Media minor will enjoy hands-on learning in a variety of lab-based classes, and they’ll develop portfolio-quality projects that will enable them to market their digital skills to future employers.

The Digital Media minor will enhance many career paths including: business, marketing/advertising/public relations, teaching, corporate communications, television and film production, radio and music production, theater and visual arts.
