Understand the political, legal, and moral ideas that have shaped – and continue to shape – our political, economic, and legal institutions.
Identify and analyze the connections between political, legal, and economic institutions and activities, especially in U.S. domestic policy.
Develop the ability to rigorously make, evaluate, and respond to arguments in law and public policy using both empirical and tools for economics and principles from philosophical and legal argumentation.
Understand the structure of the U.S. Constitution and the basics of American political and judicial processes.
