Criminal Justice Studies Major

Students who complete a major in Criminal Justice Studies will be able to:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of historical and contemporary theories about the biological, psychological, and sociological origins of criminal behavior.

2. Evaluate and apply basic research methods in the field, including creating research studies and analyzing and interpreting data.

3. Express sociological ideas, as they apply to criminal justice issues, clearly and coherently both in writing and in oral presentations.

4. Demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge, skills and professional behavior in an internship experience.
