Environmental Justice and Sustainability Major

Environmental Justice and Sustainability majors will:

1. Demonstrate knowledge of the major concepts, theoretical perspectives, and empirical findings in the fields of environmental justice and sustainability with foundational learning in life-science, physical science, and social dimensions.

2. Show proficiency in evidence-based, effective, equitable, and just environmental problem-solving.

3. Engage in informed, ethical, and responsible action to address societal and environmental concerns.

4. Demonstrate ability to communicate environmental topics clearly and professionally through oral and written work.

5. Show professional competency through an internship experience .
