Requirements for a Bachelor of Science Major in Health Care Administration

Internship Requirement: (3 credit hours minimum):
Students must complete a minimum of 3 internship credits from: HLTH-444 or HLTH-490.

Optional NAB Internship Hours (10 credit hours):
In addition to the minimum internship requirement for the major, students have the option to pursue the opportunity to take the licensing exam required by NAB to operate a nursing home or skilled nursing facility by successfully completing a total of 10 combined credits of HLTH-444 and HLTH-490, which must total 1000 hours of experiential learning. A 2.75 minimum GPA is required prior to registering for this internship experience. Registration in a summer semester may be necessary to complete this requirement.
