Music Major: Music Technology Track (BM degree)

The Music Department has five goals for its degree programs. Students will demonstrate:

1. tone that is full, consistent, mature, pleasing to the ear, and comparable to other accomplished performers in their artistic medium.

2. a level of accuracy in their performance characterized by correct notes and rhythms, with minimal to no errors in performance.

3. mastery of their medium, exhibiting outstanding facility and showing promise of approaching the mastery of a professional.

4. mastery of collaborative performance, where interaction and synchronization is intuitive and fluid, and collaborators function as a unit.

5. understanding of music history and theory in both writing and performance practice.
