Nursing Major

Required Pre-Major Courses: NURS 110* and NURS 200 with grades of B- or better.
Required Related Science Courses: BIOL 108, BIOL 109, BIOL 202, BIOL 300, and CHEM 214 (or CHEM 103), all with grades of C or better.
Required Related Additional Courses: MATH 200 or 205; PSYC 103, and PSYC 218.
Required Core Nursing Courses: NURS 300, 302, 303, 325, 331, 335, 336, 341, 416, 425, 432, 442, 443, 450, 460, all with grades of C or better.

*NURS 110 may be fulfilled by submitting documentation of one of the following CNA/SRNA (Certified Nurse Aide/State Registered Nurse Aide) experiences:
1. Successful completion of a Medicaid approved Certified Nurse Aide or State Registered Nurse Aide course (students do not need to complete the state certification examination), or;
2. Work experience equivalent to a Certified Nurse Aide/State Registered Nurse Aide (requires an official letter confirming work experience from a direct supervisor).
Students with an approved/documented CNA/SRNA experience will take a 1-3 credit elective instead of NURS 110 in order to meet the overall 120 credit hour degree requirement.
