Program Description

The Writing minor is housed in the undergraduate Communication Department.

In a recent study of executive members of the Society of Human Resource Management, respondents were asked to identify skills that recent college graduates are lacking. Not surprisingly, nearly 50 percent of the executive respondents- the largest percentage overall- pointed to a lack of basic writing skills like grammar and spelling.

The 20-hour Writing Minor can set your resume and application apart from the competition. This focused area of study will give you abundant practice in writing, drafting and editing.
